i'm just curious is i could get some info upon patching some of the pit marks i have. i tried pro fix 6 & something else but it gives a dull color. I was told that i should use the same kinda of paint that the isuzu made. i saw that on my rodeo on the info panel on the firewall it says (it's all black) color - 828. Which is great but how can i convert that number to a paint that i can buy/get? & what kinda of a lacquier do i use? any advice is appriceated

There are a number of sites on the internet that will mix you the appropriate color if you give them the mfg's color code. Try a place like paintscratch.com to get some more info.

Having said this....painting requires much skill and know-how. If you don't know what you're doing....it won't look even close to a color match....and it won't be the paint's fault either.

thanks for the reply.. i know & i undertsand about the touch up paint & stuff. My father who used to to auto bodys said that this pro paint <whatever> wouldn't work. And even with my father's 8 years of exp. i was too hardheaded.. i just want to get a source & have him do the spots & quit "rubbing it in".. thanks :)
