well the type R is a better choice, that is why it is more expensive......do what you can afford (or rather what you are willing to pay)...

Yeah, they are both expensive motors, especially the b18c5.

that's because the type r has all the parts already in it that most people put into a gsr
and the ITR motor is an amazing machine, however so is the gsr (which I have). I'm working on building my gsr motor with some ITR parts and believe me, it's not cheap. If you can do it, go ahead and get the B18C5.

Yeah a lot of people on b18's who dont have the c5 use the c5's intake mani and other parts off of the c5 motor.

It's hard to say. There are so many variables in running, track condition, motor condition, clutch, weather, tires, all that. It shoud be pretty fuckin fast though.

Exactly, my next mod is going to be an ITR IM or possibly the Skunk2

I know what the car should run, but I have no idea what you'll run, sorry.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of people say that the design on the ITR intake manifold and the Skunk2 is practically the same, and lots of people get the ITR. Haven't had personal experience with it, just what I have heard from other people. Of course what we hear from other people is not always true.

Me i would go wit the gsr or a ls/vtec setup way before i would go wit a type-R b18c1 is a good motor can stand up to 10 psi with stock internals but the number one thing is get it tunned really good find a good shop that you know does good tunning thats the key

I say get a B16 and Build it up...
cuz 5g's for a b18c5, you can get
b16a1
LSD YS1
built Head
Built bottom end
and possibly a flywheel and clutch
but it's just my oppinion.
