MR2 engine swap

was wondering if someone could give me some ideas on what i could drop in a 1991 MR2 for under 2 grand, b/c that 135 bhp 8 second 0-60 just aint doin it for me, would really like something over 200 hp like mayb a 94 mr2 turbo engine or mayb one of the celicas i just dont know how much they cost. thanks for your replys in advance. =]

Not to sound like a dick or anything but this has been discused alot. but to tell u, prolly one of the most common would just to swap a 3sgte in it. but like u said a 94 turbo would work fine.

sell your car, use that money and the 2k to buy a turbo car. or, look through some of the past threads (just don't revive any ancient ones...)
