There are lots of differences between a 6 bolt and 7 bolt longblock, but all you need to know is that a 6 bolt is stronger by a little bit.

Some 1g parts are better than the same part on 2g's. Not all, so what part are you talking about?

What is an eg63? Sure as hell isn't in my car.

Maybe 40 more horsepower? Who wouldn't turn up the boost?

Nothing other than normal car buying things. Might check for crankwalk... http://racingknowledge.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=185

which parts on the gen 1 is better than the gen2??

sorry i meant 4g63

cuz i am planning to use it as daily drive, n bigger turbo drinks gas, so yeah.........

also, r there any way to check wether the engine is 6bolt or 7 bolt from the look of the engine??

pretty much the whole engine is better... the intake manifold is better cause it has bigger ports, the head is better - bigger ports, more flow... the block is better because its stronger, has better oil points reducing wear and friction on the moving assembly, bigger rods handle more power! so theres that!

bigger turbos only drink gas if you want them too... i have a 20g on my car and i get an average of 25-28mpg, but when i boost its a different story! i can use up a tank of gas in a matter of a couple hrs if i am boosting a lot! its all in the way you drive!

to check if its a 6 bolt or not.... if you look at the flywheel there will be 6 bolts holding it on in a 6 bolt and 7 bolts holding it on in a 7 bolt, other than that i really dont think there is any other way to tell, well besides if it has a crank angle sensor or not, but thats behind the timing belt cover so its hard to see!!!

You can look at the oil pan to tell which motor it is. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/early-late-engine.html

Also, fuel consumption is directly related to power, not what PSI your boost controller is set to. 250hp at stock boost will use the same fuel as 250hp with higher boost, but turning the boost up a little bit is a lot cheaper.

No, same basics, different engine. Nice grammar.

I already posted this before: http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/reviews.jtmpl?article_id=2706&car_id=161355838&make=MIT&address=99516&search_type=used&model=ECLIP&max_price=&min_price=&start_year=1984&end_year=2005&car_year=1999&distance=25&advcd_on=n&advanced=n&certified=n&color=&&cardist=4
