Potential Crankwalk Emergency

I have a 97 GS-t. I was letting a buddy of mine try out driving my car because he had asked if he could drive it to prom. I said he could but I wanted to ride with him once just to make sure he could drive a manual. We started driving and he wasnt driving it very hard but it seemed like instantly the clutch went out. You could push the clutch in and coming up it wouldnt engage until just before the pedal was up but it always engaged at the same time. I went home and there was no fluid in the clutch fluid resovuar. Can someone pleas tell me it's not crankwalk and that i just need a new clutch or somthing. :uhoh:

that dosent sould anything like crankwalk. here is a great artical about the crankwalk. as for your clutch. is sounds like you pressure plate. i guess its time to put a high performance clutch in. have fun..

seeing that your reservoir was empty it sounds like you have a leak... look at the connection where it connects to the tranny, mine came loose on my RST and thats what happend, its right by the motor mount on the tranny on a GST, fill the reservoir up and have someone press the clutch while you watch for leaks... good luck, oh and i highly doubt its CW!!!

Man... people blow a head light and they think they have Crankwalk... Easy to see why its been blown out of proportion

trust me new cluthes arent anymore fun either $$$$ i had to replace mine shortly after buying my car....

I change clutches every month or so, I'm not scared ;) But this does emphasize the point I have been making for years about everyone is crankwalk crazy. You would think people want to get it by the things they come up with. :D But thats what happens when everyone is talking about it for so many years...
