Lazy Eye trouble

k, im trying to get my lazy eye headlights to work. They raise and lower fine normally when you turn them on, but when you turn them off, they set back to the half level i want them without the headlamps being on. When they are completely turned off they go to the new half up position and when they're completely turned on they raise to 100%. Is it just a wiring problem and how would i correct it? If not, any comments would be appreciated.



darn, found out that's how they're supposed to work, would it be possible to rewire the headlight wires to make the headlights turn on in sleepy mode?

yeah man i have the same issue, when i try to trun on my light the switch get over ridden and they go bak up to normal hieght. so annoyiing

lol i posted that a while ago, but ya, i then found out afterwards that it's meant to do that in that model of the pivot headlight controller, there's another model of the pivot that allows you to do that, but i couldn't find it

mybe its the switsh? (i changed mine, no high beam!) dont know..... check the wirz with a volt meter??

i think even if you managed to turn the headlights on with the sleepy eye position it wouldn't help you to see at night. i've tried out the sleepy eye mode manually by disabling the motor. I also tested out visibility by turning on the headlights... it just lights up the ground close to the car and won't do much when you're driving at night.

ya, i wanted to get those lights in it from clearcorners.com, which would be better for driving in sleepy eyed position at night, but, that's an assload of money, and i could spend it on something more useful.. like.. turbo :eek:

um you have unplug the motors and hand crank them....or buy a switch to control it. Currently i am a hand cranker, its my only form of work out so......but a switch is much much much easier. If your not a lazy ass and actually get around to doing it like me.

ya i would of done it that way, but i got the pivot headlight controller as a present for my birthday, best present ever :)

i paid about $120CDN including shipping and it is yet to be installed.. (will be done sometime b/w now and march and i'll write up FULL ENGLISH instructions when its being installed) but do you guys know which model it is that doesn't override the 'on' position of the headlights? i hope thats not the one i got..
and for the headlight problem, i've been working on a patent for sleepy eyes so that the lights are aimed at the same height nomatter what angle the popups are at.. its pretty damn hard to do but i'll have my own done by march

hmm, after searching a bit i couldn't find it, maybe there wasn't one after all.

anyway, i'm sure you can rewire the headlight switch
