Hi all I'm the proud owner of a 96VR4 spyder. Before this car I bought a 91 VR4, once the trans was fixed, I liked it so much I financed the spyder. One of the things I liked about the 91 was the adjustable suspension. What does it take to incorporate this feature in to the spyder? Thanks newbee John P

Welcome to the board and congratulation on the Spyder :iceslolan I enjoy mine immensly. The suspensions on the VR4s are the same for the coupe and spyder. Whatever you did to the 91 can be repeated on the 96. Just stop in at dynamicracing.com and check out their suspension adjusting options to give yourself an idea of the current prices. Stopping in the 3si.org sales section will be worth you while.

I think he is talking about the ECS that comes stock on the 91. Correct me if im wrong here, but I dont think you can put ECS on the car that didnt come with it. The mount points are different, and it would be insanely hard to wire up.

One thing to consider are the Tien Flex coil overs with the remote adjustment. You can get the whole setup for around 1800.

Spyders (at least the VR4s) have the ECS installed.

Hi all The feature I'm refering to is the ECS. There is a button on the dash but it doesn't do anything or have the ECS lable on it . also does the 96 Spyder have AWS? My car has a white leather interier, does this make it more rare?

ECS should be labeled "ECS" but I don't know how noticeable the change would be. It doesn't lower your car, it just stiffens up the suspension a bit when 'sport' mode is selected. But it doesn't change ride height.

I believe all vr4s have AWS, but it only turns a slight bit to assist. It not noticeable in my opinion.

As far as white leather, I don't know, did it come with the white leather from the factory or did the previous owner do it?

The white leather is standard I bought the car from a factory rep. I want a softer ride for the dirt road and the 'sport' ride for paved mountain roads. thanks john
