i just put an exhaust cut out on my formula and i was thinking that it might actually make it slower off the line because theres no backpressure. Would the cut out make up for the loss by the end of the quatermile when im at hi rpm's?

You do lose some backpressure with the cutout. It seems to be more noticed on automatic cars, but it makes up for it on the top end. With just a lid and cutout, I was running just over 107mph in San Antonio in the dead of summer(high 90s/low 100s).
