how can i find the color code of my car
It depends on the year of your car - mine's a 98 and the code is on the sheet attached to inside of the spare wheel cover. The code usually follows "BCCC" on the last line.
Mine is dark red, colour code 257C.

Uh huh, RPO codes have all of that information, has a complete RPO code list been posted on AF?
That could be really helpful

A google search on "rpo codes" turns up a lot of pages - are the codes specific for each manufacturer or each model? How do they work?

I would assume model specific, I have the RPO code list for the Bonneville, but not the Aurora.
I search around a bit for specific Aurora RPO page and was not sucessful.
Mind you...this...could be handy :)
