I have a 99 3.8L/5speed. I hate how long the throw is on the T5. I am looking at purchasing the Hurst Billet Plus shifter for it. If anyone here uses this setup please let me know how you like it. I don't wanna throw away 190 bucks for something that is not much of an improvement.

the hurst shifter is ok, the b&m is better, but I like the Pro 5.0 better. By far the best shifter I've ever used.

I concur. Take even a hack saw to it, cut it the length that you wan tit and then re-thread it. Total cost... NOTHING.

no insult to u, but i've seen many a ricer do just that. its extremely funny when they mess up and cut it so short that they can't hardly get thier hand on it anymore :lol2: . i have a hurst shifter that is for the t56 i have (not yet in the car) but i've heard that hurst is a very very good shifter.

That is really up to u, but with that new of a rig I wouldn't cut shit. I would buy the hurst and if I put it in and didn't like it I'd sell it on ebay and have the origianl to put back in just incase i wanted to trade it in.
