Tat2 Vs. Turbo2nr

well i guess this was the first of many a/f memeber meet in n.y.c., me and tat finally decided to meet up and hang out. i must say his 240sx is dammmm nice i love it its just sooooooo nice and clean..
well enought small talk lets get down to business. :loser:

we decieded to run the probe gt against his turbo 240.. just for fun we knew how would win..

so we line up at the light on this longs strip of open road and not to much traffic, we wait till the light turns green i launce my car at 2500rpmz tat does about the same, so right off the bat tat gets me i was with im for about .25 of a second then he left i was about 1car lenghs behind him untill 60 then he hit 3rd gear and pulled like 4 cars on me.. so once he caught like 80 hes slowed down b/c of traffic or else that kill would of been like 8 car.. i was pretty suprized that i hanged with him for a lil bit..

ROUND 2!

we decided to go from a 20mph roll, i did a little better here, from a roll i got him jus a lil off the roll and kept with im untill 60 again but this time he only had like 3cars on me which was very good in my veiw.. we both went back and talked..

i was shocked that i did that well agains a real turbo car (lol) i actually hanged with him for a few.. but man is tat car fast compared to mine.. tat was pretty impressed also in my opinion i think he was thinking that i was gona be alot slower then i was.. all in all it was a good night this motaveted me to make my car faster i want a boost controller soo bad and raise my boost to 12psi, i was boosting only 8psi when i raced tat something was a little srcew with my car, it wouldnt let me boost up to 9-10 like usually i dont know why.. but i will definatly work on my car and run tat again..

on a side note i got to sit inside a STI today and man was i impressed that car was faster then tat's and the sti was stock@! it had me stuck in my seat.. man my car feels soo slow compared to them i feel like a ricer.. but on the way home i killed a grandprix gt.. and this was with my by-pass disconnected b/c for some reason my vacume line keeps blow-off my by[pass that could be why i was only makin 8psi... damm boost leak..
well all in all its was a good nite..

well i wasnt' able to get online for a while because i was too busy at work. but anyways i let my friend floor my car at work and he made a big ass back fire with a fireball coming out of my tailpipe and then something got loose. so i ended up re ranging something which caused me to retighten one of my intercooler coupling and all i gotta say is damn. my car hits boost even faster now. so i guess when i was racing turbo2nr my car was having a minor boost leak. but i'm not goin to make excuses. i'm sure that if we kept on goin and race for the entire race i would've pulled on him harder and harder in every gear. during that race we hit around 80mph. i normally finish at around 100mph at the end of that straight, so i had like another 20 mph to pull another 5 or more cars on you lolz. but anyways your car is quicker then i thought. but next time if you can stay out later we'll do a full 1/4 mile race, not some 1/8 mile race. then we'll see the true difference in our cars because my car's 0-60 sucks. :sunglasse

yea hopefully next time i'll be a better challenge and hopefully ill be making 12psi instead of 8ish.. glad to see that you got rid of the minor boost leak, i think i also have one in on of my hoses, lol i also found a new little crack developing on the hose going to my throttle, looks like time for new hoses.. all in all a good experience..

Good runs. Stop with the turbo boost loses guys. Sheesh you sound like supra owners when they lose a race :p

no i'm not denying anything heh. but my car is not a drag car. low end is not the greatest. i always pull on people up top and i even didn't enough road to redline 3rd. so next time.

hey man didnt you beat me bad enuff lolz.. it was only 5 cars jeez what did u wnat it to be 10 your making it worse on me lolz.. yea but next time it will be intresting you can beat my by like 8 cars haha well your car should be way faster since you fixed your boost leak..

i honestly don't think my car got a great deal faster. it just feels peppier. the boost definitly comes on sooner, but i'm not sure if my overall pull got harder though. but your car definitly is quick to 60. if you raced my friend with the evo or STi from a 20mph roll to 60 you probrably wouldn't get destroyed. maybe you would be like 3 cars back.

heh i really wish i could drive here to the west coast. i want to chill with TV and redneck and maybe fatninja since i do talk to TV and redneck quit often on AIM. i would want to race TV's SR powered 240 or mynismo's SR powered 240 in cleveland. too bad i'm all the way out east in nyc.

you guys should have recorded it if possible, that would have been nice

can afford a digi cam i should get one of those video fones and record the races lolz..
1 day i will drive to cali. maybe on the way there ill meet up to some a/f peeps.. think about taking the road trip next summer..
