okay here's the deal....right now i have an 88' civic SE which i had recently found out that my Fuel Injection system is some cheap ass fuel economy sh!t that has been slowing my car down. Now, I have the 1.6 SOHC ZC engine in my car with the same FI system, which means my ass is getting robbed of HP. So, i wanna do an mpfi conversion but I don't know where to start. What do I have to change...ECU? Tranny?Intake manifold? Shiet...i dunno how it even looks like !...please HELP!!

first off, there isn't a civic se (at least none here in the good ol' u.s. of a.). that cheap ass economy sh!t you speak of is the stock stuff that comes in the car. they pretty much all have it. :grinno:
to be honest, this topic has been done many times. if you would do a search within this forum you would find a wealth of info.
parts needed & install info can also be found here: www.4thGenerationCivic.com (http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/how-to's/mpfi_conversion.htm)

Canada apperently got a Civic SE, I have seen a couple roaming around the states.

ya, there is an SE in Canada, it is essentially a DX with some fancy trim...I think it might have had a tach too (not sure)...

back to the original question, the reason your car has fuel economy stuff on it is because it IS A FUEL ECONOMY conscience car. NOT a race car (at least in stock form). As mentioned below, search for MPFI swap or something like that for a little more performance. I am also curious what your ass has to do with HP??, sounds kind of dirty to me... :loser:

i think this thread has gotten all the decent replies it's going to get. no sense in more people telling him to do a search...i'm pretty sure the point has been made: do a search, read the F.A.Q. thread, or go to www.4thgenerationcivic.com
