Do you want a new/another moderator?

A couple other guys and myself here have been discussing getting a new moderator for this forum. The moderator designated for this area appears to be MIA.

There are some threads that need to be sticky'd, others that need to be unstuck, others tha need to be moved/removed. Major updates, etc.

I myself would be happy to moderate this forum if given the opportunity. I come here regularly (everyday except for sick days). Among other reasons.

If you have any other opinions regarding this topic, please state them here.

Mike for president! Er, mod. I also nominate myself since I come here about as often. I think it would be nice to have a list of at least 3-5 people to vote on.

Our current mod, DVS, has not been seen anywhere on the forums as far as I can tell so we really do need a new one. :2cents:

Thank you for the nomination, and I will accept that nomination. We can also have more than one moderator, Car Modeling has four.

DVS last visited AF in March, however his last post was last July.

Sounds like a good idea. Might be a while before something happens but go for it. I'm starting to return here often since the big slowdown period from AF.

I know its a slow process. I have been through it on other forums so I have learned how to play the game.

I dont think anyone will pick me since I am new to the forums but not die-casts, but w/e I nominate myself.

Also just to add I was a moderator on the modifers forums also jus like Mike.

Mike would be a really good mod for this forums tho.

Yes. I have been a Moderator for such companies as XConcepts, and have done some work with the company as well.

Yea...Webmaster has been looking out for me more since he knows I have recently taken a break from Modifiers. I go there once or twice a week to prune the forum. I scan through there to check if I see anything wrong, flame wars, people that need to be banned (Its surprising how easily 10year olds can get thereselves banned). I dont really read the content so I have no idea what is going on in the Modifiers world.

I came in 02 and haven't exactly posted alot either. I just never post on a page that I have no buisness posting on.

It would be cool to be/have a mod in here. But I'm not sure how much it's needed. Especially since this area goes in spurts and is quite active for a few days and dead for a few days. Anyways, good luck on deciding what to do.

I think having another moderator would be a great idea. But who would be the moderator. I'm here frequently and I check. Plus I joined only 8 months ago in Aug 2003 which probably not enough experience. I know a lot of the members here on AF and enjoy getting to know more each day and hope to progress. To me, AF is a second family. I try to help as much as I can with the forums. But anyways, good luck in the idea.
