2k G Intake

Ok so here's my idea, I'm going to get an Apexi 80mm universal cone filter and use it to make my own intake but I have one question first. What is the boost sensor that is connected to the airbox right next to the intake tube leading to the MAF? It looks like just a hollow hose leading to a sensor that is mounted on a brass bracket coming off of the MAF. Anyone have any idea what this is for and what I should do with it when I put on my intake.

Well that looks like the sensor exept he mentions a temp sensor and I know it is not the temp sensor because that was stuck in the front of the snorkal coming off the air box. I have seen a little nipple to attach it to on the pop charger for the 2k+ models but noticed the older pop chargers do not have a place for this.
