Hello, I posted about a week ago about my tranny shifting very rough between first and second gears....I was recommended a tranny flush. I got a tranny flush which fixed the problem perfectly for about two days. Now the problem has returned and every day that passes it gets worse. My truck again shakes and eventually slams into second gear every time I accelerate from a stop. What could this problem be caused by?? WHy would a flush fix it, but only for a few days? Doesn't make any sense to me. Please Help

Not sure which year you have; however, I have a 97 auto, 3.2L that did that had that very same problem. At the time, I was just barely outside powertrain warranty at 71K - I complained and complained, and .... you get the picture, to the dealer day after day.
Every day the truck would do this for about 3-4 weeks, and funny thing was, I'd pull over and park, and shut it off for a minute or so, restart and leave. And it be fine for several (50 or so) miles, then it start up again.
Finally got the dealer to fix the problem, though they wouldn't tell me what the problem was. Said only that it needed thoroughly flushed - had already done that twice.
If your under 75K for 1st generation Rodeo's fight with the dealer. I'm sorry, I don't know what the powertrain warranty is for the 98+'s.
