h/u question?

just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the eclipse 5101 mobile unit. it retails for $1200. i also was contimplating the clarion vrx610 which is $750. I like both of these units but the eclipse looks like it has a better picture quality and better add-on equipment. is this true? does anyone have any comments or suggestions?

Yup, the eclipse does have more add ons... but what do you expect it costs more then the Kenwood. Personally I have never liked anything that has come from Kenwood. Not that it all sucks, but stupid features like an LCD screen that changes colors does not impress me... I lookfor the quality over looks. Eclipse, Nakamichi... both great head units. But Nakamichi doesnt have any sort of A/V receivers just yet... If my two cents are worth anything, I say go Eclipse is you got the dough!

anyway....i think i am set on the eclipse and i also like the fact that they have that security feature where you insert your favorite disc and if power is turned off or disconnected you have to insert that same cd in order for it to work again.
so stealing it wouldn't even be worth it.

LMFAO... oopsie! After I posted it I was like hey wait that says Clarion... but I was too lazy to go edit it. Haha, but Clarion is nice ~ but I still stick by what I said about Kenwood :) :devil:

Also, people will steal anything... having a head unit with a "security feature" will not stop anyone from yanking it from your car.

thanx for the info sparq, and if you happen to read this.......ever hear of the quality of the corbeau seats? i like them and i think i am going to get them too. i just didn't hear anything about quality of them.

thanx Supposed to be very nice seats. I see them alot in like real race cars and crap (well not like winston cup and stuff but you know what I mean) I would think they are good... but ive never had any first hands experience with them!
