This is my latest project. A Honda S2000. It's gonna get some beautifull mods. First of al the front. The side airintakes are been removed. The middel airintake is made a little bigger.

Some nice skirts are made and the body is 3 mm wider at the end. At the back there are some mods also. The 'brakelight' (I'm not that good in English) is making place for a little sort of wing. Like M3 CSL has. Body isn't done yet, may take some weeks before it is.

The bonnet wil be changed too. There's just one small problem. It's broken in 6 pieces during cutting... :disappoin Something to fix here :iceslolan

Well, next to the body mods I'm planning: to lower the rideheight, some nice 18" rims, aluminum mufflers (two of course :grinno: ), Aluminum shock absorbers and nice colored springs, engine from a Honda Civic Si (Revell) and red flocking in the interior. I'm sure I forgot something but I will keep you guys posted.

yeh sounds cool, but idk about the civic engine

Bas Carwash
04-30-2004, 12:27 PM
Well, it sounds a bit weird, about that civic engine. The problem is I can't afford the S2000 engine from HLJ. It's way to expensive. I set up a thread here at AF and asked some advice for a nice honda engine. The best option seemed to be a civic Si. Btw, much can be done with some scratchbuilding :naughty:

New updates!!! :smokin: The bodykit is almost done. I gave it a mist coat of grey primer. I need to work on some small details and then it will be the way I want it to be :grinno: Tell me what you think

Btw, the civic engine is canceled. I'm just scratchbuidling everything :naughty: I'm still not sure about the color. Mica blue would look nice... What do you guys sugest...

for the civic engine, Id just use the block and do everything else from scratch. I like the way its looking and good luck with it.

i im pretty sure i had the first S2000 with a motor in it(but willimos was much better) i used a transversly mounted ITR motor and its fire wall and a custom Comptech style supercharger.u have to cut off the tranny and put one in from a rwd car(i used one from a mustang) it does not look exactly right, but it still looks ok. make sure u mount it behind the front axle if u gonna do it

Well, I just used this wheels for the photos. I just didn't have anything better lol

For Astroride: I'm building everything from scratch. Got some fine pictures of the engine so everything is gonna turn out right if I'll put some time in it :iceslolan

Some progress again. I''m almost done with lowering the ride height. The new springs look good. Will show them some other time maybe. The exhaust are done and the hood is close to finished. Blue was an excellent choice. It isn't mice blue but metallic blue. Not very different, they didnt have mica blue at my LHS soo... In a few weeks I'll show the finished model without engine.

Lol! Don't worry, I doesn't seem what it's like. There's gonna be a small tube of aluminium into the hole. Inside there will be a tail light. I wouldn't even look a bit like what you're planning  Thanx for the comments.

Looks pretty good so far.
I personally think that wing is just too big for the car. I'd go with a smaller wing.

DJPaul
06-03-2004, 01:25 PM
leave it wingless

IzzyTrippin
06-03-2004, 02:26 PM
my vote on the wing... keep it but lower it about 3 or 4 MM closer to the body, more like a dragwing, and move it a little further forward... don't want it to look like a shoehorn stuck out the back. Also move the supports further apart towards the edges of the trunk. This should balance it out so it doesn't look so "over the top".

nis.k.a.
06-03-2004, 04:23 PM
I would go WITH a spoiler but not that one. A lower profile or even supportless spoiler would be good.

Looks pretty cool, like others have said, that wing is a little too big, however i'd still go with a wing, after all, it seems anymore that wingless is quite a played-out trend :p

{(itchy)}{finger}

the wings a lil big, still looks okay if it were smaller, wingless is best (but its your model!!!!) knock yourself silly...

If you wanna put a wing on it. I reckon a lip spoiler on the boot would look better than that monster of rice!
The coar looks good though

Bas Carwash
06-04-2004, 03:03 AM
Well I think I figured it out  The score it 10 to 4. Wingless it'll be. I think I just build the car and after it's done and it looks a bit boring (which I doubt :naughty: ) I'll still attach it. But everybody that voted for the wing agreed it was a bit overdone. So if there will be a wing, it'll be a lot smaller.

Thanks for the comments guys, it was really helpfull.

tc3house
06-04-2004, 10:26 PM
I agree with your decision about the spoiler, it looked way to big. Although if you are going to use a spoiler, may I suggest a Gran Turismo style version, where it extends past the trunk(boot) and stays the same height as the beltline of the car. If that makes no sense, look at the pictures...

Hmm, thanks. You got some real good arguments there... :eek7:

t3c, like your idea. But it might be hard to realise as the rear of the car has some sort of little wing already. I'll think about it. Might be a nice challenge

Yes it is, but is is the V-spec, not the one you got.

I'm proud! The hood was broken into 6 pieces. Look at it now :smokin: It's gonna be black. But what the f... The engine doesn't fit with the hood on top! :screwy: Stupid mistake!!! :screwy: :screwy: :screwy:
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/502/168072Hood_open.jpg

Already made the hood a little thinner on the inside now. Engine is to big at the moment. Will make it shrink a little bit. Wont be to hard. Here the pics of the body without engine under it. What do you think? The tail lights are a little hard to see on the pictures as the pictures are a little bad. Take some better (with a black hood on top :smokin: ) this afternoon

A day to late, but here it is. The gash where kicker1 was talking about was a bit of dust or something I guess. Well, at least it's not a gash. The hood fits almost perfectly again. I have two mufflers. There done for about three weeks now, but I instantly forgot to show them. Well some progress pics again :)

I'm busy lowering the ride height now. I'm still waiting for some 18" rims so I can't finish it at the moment :banghead: I also need to buy some flocking to finish the interior. The exhaust system is almost done. Just some paint, polish the mufflers... Next week I'll show some progress again I think. I think I'll start building the engine at the end of the month.

Took me a month but I got some progress again :D Had some trouble making nice panel lines and polished a little to much here and there so I need to do some touchups :banghead: The wheels are from a Tamiya 350Z and brake discs from SAS. Exhaust is system almost done. Suspension is lowered. Interior is almost finished. Need some decals for it. Well, enough talk, here it is:
