I was wondering how fast someone has gone in a grand prix with the limiter removed. I was thinking about getting a new chip to remove the limiter.

Not sure about a GT but my GTP for some reason let be go 143mph once. It was sweet. But now that im over 100k miles it won't let me past 127.

Speed limiters are there because stock tires are not rated beyond the speed limiters.
However, if you got the high speed tires, by all means try to disable the speed limiter with a custom computer chip.

is that the only way to disable is with a computer mod. if so where and how ???

143 mph thats pretty good. I was racing a jeep yesterday and my car cut out at 110. He came up to me on the highway, and were both doing 80, then he takes off and the race is on. I caught up no sweat but limiter kicked in when the nose of my car got to his door. So now I slow down and the dude in jeep pulls beside me and looks at me like he just dusted me. That look was the last straw no jeep owner should have that satisfaction. Breaking down and ordering the chip today!

Man is not a chip. If you have a 97 or later GP you need to get the whole thing(THe PCM). The fastest I have driven on H tires is 147MPH and yup that is the only way to get rid of it. Replacing the PCM.
