Tranny grind found a good fix

Ok So I did the z6 engine swap about 4 weeks ago and I used my old si tranny. It allways grinded going into second gear so I thought I would use 20 wt. synthic motor oil. Well it helped a little. I found out that I busted the seal on the passangers side of the car in the tranny and I went to honda to get another one. I was talking to one of my buds in the service bay and he told me to use the honda MT oil at 7.56 a quart if it did not work he would give me the money I paid for it. So getting the seal I got honda MT oil. Tonight I installed the seal and drained the tranny for an hour, then refilled with 2 quarts. I put it all back together and drove it holly crap no more grind in second. I drove for about 3 miles before I tried to shift hard. No grinds what so ever even with the short shifter in the car. Honda did something to that oil to make it work right.

Also never put auto tranny fluid in to your tranny NO MATTER WHAT FOCKERS SAY. It eats up the coating on the gears and also mess up the bearings. I have a DX tranny that is bad after 6,000 miles because the fock that installed it put in auto fluid in. It is a factory DX tranny that was bought about 8 months ago from honda. It locks up the diff when trying to turn.

Rebuilding or replacing is probably your only option if you grind in every gear! I think most grinds are a result of physical wear on the actual gears, which really is irreversible. I would say that the Honda MT fluid is probably making things run smoother, but probably only masking, not fixing the grind.

I know this.. I was just venting.
I hope it just lasts a year or so so I can afford an ITR tranny.

I was told to never put Auto tranny fluid, but motor oil. Some say gear oil, but NEVER auto tranny fluid. Another good product thats out there is LUCAS transmission fix. They also make an oil, fuel injector, and power steering product. It seems to have saved alot of people money w/ tranny problems
