Wide Rims?

Quick question:
Will wider rims have any affect on my ATTS? Stock width is 6.5, I'm planning on 8. Will the change disable the ATTS?

as long your tires don't go over 225/40/18 is good
but most of the time is 225/35/18 , Lude can ride 19
225/35/19

I know they'll fit, but will it mess up my ATTS? I know it can be touchy, like if you put on the donut.

No, man. I know they will fit. My lude has ATTS. An electrical system that transfers torque to the outside wheel during cornering. I know the system is touchy and will diable itself if you are running the donut or if you mod up and have too much HP.

My question isn't a fitment problem, its more of an electrical system inquiry? Does anyone have any input?

kkiepvvessau, stop replying, you don't understand what I'm asking.

I'm not wondering about fitment or diameter, I'm asking whether a wheel that is 1.5" wider than stock will have any effect on my ATTS.

Can anyone else give me any input, please?

i dont know why it would as long as both are the same width, they'll still be the same size wise as eachother, i don't see how the computer would notice that, the reason it does with the donut is because it has a different diameter than the other wheels.

I am no expert on Type SH's, but... the system will only act up if you have an uneven surface caused by either terrain or by using wheels of different sizes. I don't know the particulars about maximum width, but as long as the wheel diameter is uniform across all four wheels, you'll be fine with 15" or 18". My friend's ATTS threw a light when he had to use the small spare tire, but it went away after getting a new set installed. I imagine that as long as they fit, tire width doesn't matter as much as the diameter.

Any SH owners have some input on this?
