alright i want to get some new rims which will require new tires. i know that the reccomended size for a 92 prelude is 215/40/17. would it matter if i have 205/40/17 tires. what would be the downfalls and would there be a difference?

The difference would be a a skinnier tire and a lower profile.

Downfall being a more bumpy ride?

205's will work, your speedometer will be off by a couple MPH but its no big deal, i personally buy the 215/40/17's but i like em better, 215/40/17=thicker sidewall=less chance of bending a rim.
