Chrome Spray Paint

What spray paint do u guys use besides Alclad? Im asking for SPRAY PAINT. I recently bought testors Chrome, IT SUCKS!

for small things like shift knobs and to replace mirror faces for rearview mirrors and side mirrors i have used duplicolor chrome. never had a nice turnout over large areas.

Is your grasshopper older than you? My Hawk, and some of my batteries are old as, if not older than me. :disappoin I post helpful stuff, and stuff where Im just me being a literallistic smart ass...like the PVC Question on RCD.

Most of my rc stuff i think is as old as me. What is the pvc question.

Krylon Chrome Spray is pretty nice.. Duplicolor is much much better though IMO.

Duplicolor chrome works very nicely, has a pretty nice shine to it and u can see yourself in the painted area, vaugely but htere:)

I remember seeing a post on Alclad II out in cans. Try a search...it was fairly recent (i.e. within the past 2months).

Does anyone have pics of the Dupli Color chrome already painted in some parts?

Are you simply searching for a rattle can paint? If not then consider GSI Creos Mr Super Metallic Plate Silver, there is a thread about if from last week. Roughly equivalent to Alclad Chrome.

If you are after a can then Alclad do appear to offer aerosol cans now. They are listed on the Alclad website at www.alclad2.com. If you live in the States then they should be gettable. If you are outside then probably difficult given the recently introduced restrictions on posting/exporting solvents.

Hang on, after re-reading Alclad's page now I'm not so sure. They list 4oz metal cans but do not specificly state they are aerosols. But what else would they be?

you can buy alcad in aerosol cans in australia (Nambour Toyword Sunshine Coast) its made for polycarbonate bodies seems to work fine on plastic though

i have a couple of the alclad spray chrome it is designed for r/c cars which comes out fantastic even better than the bottle version have not used it on a kit yet will try on a old kit in the next couple of days and will post the pics. if its anything like how it turns out on the r/c stuff wow.

don't about in Canada but i got a distributor in Australia and you would not believe it one of my other suppliers came in today and said that everone is after it and cannot get it as well and then brought all my cans

anyone know where to find Alclad in sydney australia?
