No, they cannot legally import Skylines. They might be able to bypass some of the gov't agencys to get the car on the roads though. But, then the car will not truely be legal.

Why would anyone want to buy JDM EVO's or STI---am I wrong in thinking that the USDM versions are better----Don't both USDM models come with 2.5 litre engines whereas the JDM are 2.0 (to comply with World Ralley)?

Well as far as I'm aware the WRX and EVO only came in 2 litre versions other than the WRX 22B which was a 2.2 special version.

The Evo should be using the 4g63 motor I belive it was called.

Yea EVO's ran 4G63T's. In all models. Good engine to swap into an Eclipse.

Anyways, if they can get a title for it... And It wont be confisgated, or taken away by EPA/and or DOT , who cares?

dude... the 4g63 is in eclipses already... so therefore...no swap necessary

the turbo models I mean...non turbo are 420a

just to clarify, i hate it when people get wrong info on cars, the evo does have the 4g63t, the eclipse gst and gsx models also run the 4g63t in them (gsx is awd) a 16g is a turbo that a lot of eclipse and evo owners want because it is capable of mega amounts of power when put with the 4g63 motor...say about 400-450 whp...the 4g93 is what is in the fto. now, i hope everybody has their off topic engine number fill for the day! :biggrin: RB26DETT ROCKS!!!
