i need a little help

i know you guys get asked this question a lot but i am lookin for a bike and yes i am a beginner im 17 5'8'' 175 lbs and i am looking at a gsx6r maybe a 2000 or 2001 what advice do you have. thanx

if you want to go newer..id suggest a naked SV650 from suzuki. They go decent, handle nicely, and dont have a whole lot of plastic on them so if you drop it you wont have to replace plastics.

Used SVs can be had pretty cheap and are very good bikes. Id rather have one than a gix personally.

If you want the CBR, try to get an F2 or F3. The F4 or F4i is newer, and while they aren't too terribly different from the F2 and F3, the insurance is going to be more, as well as the bike costing more because it's newer.

how much a month or 6 months do you guys spend on insurance?

Nobody has suggested starting to ride on one of the sportbikes because it is not smart, the bikes are not forgiving. And while it is obvious that is the style of bike you are looking for, start with a bike that is much easier controlled.

is there one? a bike with the look of a zxr or cbr600 but with the handling of a sv 650?
