I'm sorry bro but I am just not knowledgable about body work. :(

I'd help you if I could but I can't. I'm also not sure of any links for DIY body work...maybe Silverbolt could help you more. Check in the Exterior forum for him. Good luck :)

Nice of you to drop in ;).

I believe EliteImports is looking for a link to, or just some instructions concerning, the installation of Z3 fenders on a del Sol. Basically how to install aftermarket fenders.

I am not a body guy at all...I thought you might know of a link or could offer some helpful input.

hmmm, well the Z3 fenders bolt right on... just like the factory. I dont know exactly how to do it, but if it were me in your position, I would just start by taking off the front bumper, and start taking bolt you can find. Thats pretty much how I figured out everything on my car.. trial and error :) If it doesnt work out, all you lost was just a little time, but gained alot more experience. Crap... I just remembered I had a pair of fenders sitting in my garage just a few weeks ago. I should have taken a better look at them to see how it bolts on... oh well. But if you're really worried about doing the "trial and error" way, and not to great with taking things apart, you can go to an auto store like Pep Boys and buy the helms manual. It'll pretty much show you how to take your entire car apart and put it back together :D

that was pretty much how i was gonna do it anyway... that's the way i learned on my 2K1 civic, but since the sol is someone else's car i thought i might try to get an edge up on it... but that's aight, i'm sure it's got to be relatively easy like you said, just keep looking for bolts until the thing is ready to fall off... trial and error is fun anyway... thanks man!:D

Hey,
Not sure if you still need this, but here goes.
the way to get the factory fenders off is: there are like 4 or 5 screws under the hood along the edge. there are also 2 or 3 screws in behind the doors, need to open them and unscrew them, be careful not to scratch the paint with turning of screwdriver. there are like 6-7 plastic screws in the fender well, not all need to be taken out, but its easier if you do(tiretaken off makes easier). then there is a screw to the front bumper than is holding the fender at the front. you can see where it is, theres a slight cutout in the bumper for a screwdriver. When i was removing mine, i had to cut the plastic trim that went along the outside of the fender well.
Not sure on brand of z-3 fender you got, but you might have to drill holes to mate up, or if you got aro-gear, should already be drilled.

Thats all i got

Darrell

fenders are not that bad to take off. i just took one of my moms civic saturday. you have to be careful b/c there is a bolt behind the door. all the bolts are 10mm.

I've always heard that all you need is a 10mm socket and a Phillips head and you can take apart any Honda.
