I bought a new Honda a/c kit from ebay a few months back. This kit was from Canada (I think), because few of the part numbers were good numbers. My car is a 94. I did a lot of research trying to figure things out. If I recall, the 96 a/c kit is very different from the 92-95 kit. I got lucky with this kit, and only had to deal with a couple issues like the condenser mounts, and the fact that the cooling unit under the dash has a built-in air filter, that the US models did not have in 94. In the end, it worked fine, but I am an ASE certified/AC certified tech, so that helps.
You could do what I did, and look at the online microfishe to compare parts, but I think you will be better off finding the right kit.
