I finally moved to Cali and after seeing a CRX with a ZC i am hooked.

Im gonna be driving this car everyday but i want to be able to compete with some, if possible mustang gts, cause i hate thiose things. Should I gor for the 16 or 18. Is the 18 alot heavier than the 16. I want to be able to take tight turns without alot of understeer. Im not gonna do any force induction but i plan on fixing up the engine. Im really leaning towards the 16 but if yall have other recommedations do tell or if there is a good link to help explain this please give.

thanks

5k.........you can build a pretty fast car for that.

First, look for an 88 crx HF (that is the lightest model)
Swap in a B16a w/lsd tranny(JDM spec perfered)
That will run you about 3k there.

Start Tuning with Skunk2 TB or Integra Type R TB and Intake Manifold.
Go with JDM 4-1 header from Integra R
SKunk2 cams would be good along with titanium valves, springs, & retainer.
If you still have money left over from all that good stuff, i would fine tune with Hondata and buy some good street tires.Of course that is not a full build, i mean you could still add pistons, rings, rods, etc. But that is what i would start with. Plus if you strip the CRX i'm pretty sure you can run low 14's/high 13's if you know how to get a good r/t at the track. That will have you competing with Cobra's if thats okay with you.

So I should just go for the engine with 170 hp? Their both the same size right?

either way you go, you need to remember you will have to get mounts, axles, and the hub assembly or knuckles or whatever you call them cause the axles you get have a diff. spline count then your stock ones

Barley, if at all.

If you've got the $, then the GSR would be the way to go. With the HAsport hydro-cable mounts and an ITR tranny. :D
