engine light & ETS off (another person w/)

I have recently bought a repo car from a bank here in Tulsa, OK. Before i sighned everything the banker told me that the car had been serviced,oil changed, radiator,ect... I have had it for 2 wks. and these dang EST off & check engine lights are on. I read what it means(ETS off), but my ? is. If the engine was just serviced, Why is this happening. Could someone CERTIFIED help on some advise. Maybe. :banghead: thanks, CHRISTY
