New engine in 97 gt?

ok so i know nothing about cars i admit..so thats why i'm here to ask..i was wondering a lil ways down the road when the engine problems start kickin in if its worth puttin a new engine in my 97 Gt rather than gettin another car...of course i wouldnt be doin it..it would have to be a garage so the cost of doing so i'm not exactly sure what that would be..if you could get back to me that'd be great..thanks :O)

if its a 5spd than it is deffinitley worth it cause the one thing about probes are ya cant kill them. if you keep up to date with the routine maintnence they just wont die. But if you dont want to put a new engine in it when it f**ks up... ...if it f**ks up then email me and ill take it off ya hands 4 ya.

does anybody know about how much that would run me if i did that with labor?

~$1100-1300 for the motor shipped, then another $400-600 for the install.
