I have read a previous message about replacing a fuel pump/sendor in a 1999 Suburban. What is the correct procedure to replace my fuel pump/sendor. Coming back fom Memphis I notice a really high pitched noise underneath that appears to be the pump beginning to fail. I'm a novice when it comes to repairs, but not afraid to tackle anything when given the correct procedures. Would appreciate some knowledge to understand before I decide if I want to tackle this one. Cost associated with repairing it myself would also help.

I assume the pump is in the tank. I bet there is no access hole either???
You can drop the gas tank or cut a hole in the floor and make your own access hole (be carfull)

don't cut a hole in the floor. just take the tank out.

If your truck is rusty as mine is, dropping the tank is not an option.
