My 98 Jim (SLE 4WD) has been making a clicking sound for the last week. It seems to be under the floorboard on the right side. It sounds like something in the "spokes". At first I thought there was a rock in my wheel...but no rock. What does this sound like? I just had both front ball joints replaced within the last 6 months. Also, just had my oil changed...after this sound started. Any info appreciated!

Thanks.

If it does it when you are turning it probably is the torchen bar mount. I had the same problem with a 94. There are no front coil springs in that truck. Very common problem. The torchen bars extend back to under your seat and are mounted on a crossover. They are mounts like a tranny mount. It is pretty cheap to fix. They are pretty much flexing and creating a clunking type knock sound. Hard to determine where the exact sound is coming from. I had mine fixed at as cole muffler, both sides for $50-$60. I forgot the actual price.
