what tha happened ?

I purchased a 98 bird last week 3800 v6. 5 speed, 94000 miles ran great first 300 miles,then clutch blew up , replaced it ,but then engine started cutting out, replaced fuel filter, plugs, and wires. now it wont idle at all, i disconected the egr valve . and it made no differance. Please HELP!!!!!

Damn, sounds like you got a raw deal. Where did you get it from, Dealer? Or owner? Have you checked for a good spark? Does it idle rough or not start at all? Check all fluids.

Got her from a dealer, as is no warranty, it starts , but dies when put in 1st gear, were going to put the computor back on it tonight, and do a compresson check, starting to suspect a valve problem.

Your Supposed To Put Thte Clutch In When You Put It In Gear. Just Like I Told Everyone Else You Should Have Saved And Got The Ls1! See If The Dealer Has Any Kind Of Rules As To How Long You Have To Bring It Back If You Can Return It.

clutch might not be aligned properly. i dont know much about clutches, trannies, and such but it seems logical...
