cruise control not working help.....

I have a 2001 se GA My cruise control doesn't work. Is there a fuse or something that I can check or does anyone know where I can begin to find this problem? thanks

Fuses are located on the drivers side, when you open the door, on the side of the dash. They are also under the hood, im not sure exactly where on your model, but if you have a repair manual, it should tell you. The cruse control fuse is most likely located in the box on the side of the dashboard. Thats where mine is anyways.

There are a couple fuses. A 10 Amp Cruise fuse in the Right end of IP (pull off cover) sends feed to the Cruise module (I think) and the TCC/Brake Sw

There is also a 2 Amp Cruise Switch Fuse in same location. When you press the Cruise ON switch is there an LED in switch that lights up?

Here are the initial suggestions from service:

Inspect for proper operation of brake lamps.
Inspect throttle linkage for mechanical binding which could cause the system to malfunction.
Inspect cruise control cable adjustment, should have minimum slack.
When testing vehicles equipped with steering wheel controls, the steering wheel must be rotated to each stop position while testing the cruise control switch signal circuits. This will assure the integrity of the SRI coil.
