Help:
My '97 GT Convertible remote got drowned in the washing machine today. The car is in the garage with the top down and the alarm was armed when the drowning occurred. I tried to disarm the alarm by pulling a battery connector, but that doesn't work. When I manually unlock all doors, then reset the battery terminal, the alarm still stays on and the engine is dead. Anything I'm missing? Time is of the essence. This happened after Toyota parts dept. hours. Thanks. . .

Unlock the door with the key to disarm the car. Should be able to do this in either door.

when you got the remote wet, a signal probably shorted some fuses for the alarm. thats just me :2 cents:

you can just pull the alarm power cable off the battery.... if hte tops down just jump in and pop the hood and disconnect the alarm
