Wondering if this really works, I've heard it claim to give 23 extra HP's. Truth or Myth? Thanks

i dont believe any intake can give 23 extra hp, not to the wheels at least, maybe 12-15 at max to the crank. i would think the JWT pop charger with a cold air extension tube is the best setup.

A CAI with a JWT POP at the end would be the best. ;) ..I think thats what you meant? :)

I believe you are using this site as a reference: http://www.tdi-plc.com/SUNNY_PRIMERA.html ?
Those numbers are very fudged. The only one even close is the header figure.
In general an intake on our cars gets you 3hp to the wheels. A cold air intake will get you 7 or 8hp. A catback exhaust will get you around 7hp to the wheels as well.

How about a CAI with JWT air filter at the end. I hate the word "pop charger". Sounds like you get alot from it when you hear that word but pretty much all you get is a nice sound.

No.
A JWT Pop kit comes with a venturi adapter which allows for smooth funnelling of air into the MAF (very sensitive).

So, no it's not just a filter which you slap on a $15 filter adapter plate.

Allright, you got me on this one. But for that much $ they charge for that little ol thing, I'll just get me a short ram intake. It has to have the "Venturi" thing b/c their is no piping before the filter that you get with short ram&CAI.

I know Americans are generally not as bright as people from the UK but come on:rolleyes: . Look at the web site it says this:
Stage 1 upgrade: (9 BHP) Exhaust system (cat-back type)
(P10) 96mm tail/60mm pipework 'D-1' £380.00
(P11) 106mm tail/60mm pipework 'Super Drager' £535.00
Stage 2 upgrade: (16 BHP) 'Super Header' Manifold (P10 only) £415.00
Stage 3 upgrade: (21 BHP) 'Super PowerFlow' induction system (P10+P11) £155.00
Stage 4 upgrade: (26 BHP) AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) module. Can adjust fuelling on a linear scale up to 1A/R point richer or leaner. This item will need setting up on our rolling road to optimise. £95.00 1 hour fitting time
What it means is that if u combine the stage 1 2 3 mods u will make 21 hp (9 hp from the exhaust, 7 hp from the manfiold and 5 hp from the intake)
Do you get it now?

And 6 hp @ the wheels on an otherwise unmodified SR20DE at the dyno.
More than just a nice sound, IMO.

Should I scan the dyno charts and send them to you?

We'll, I've never heard of a Pop charger giving more than 3-4hp. You must have the "Pop Pop Charger". Yeah let me see those dyno #'s.

Ok, I'm digging 'em up!
I just emailed the guy with the NX2000 who dynoed his car with and without the POP charger.
I didn't think that it would make that much power either, but that's what it did on the dyno. And why would I bother lying about something as inconsequential as that?
Interesting, that same day we dynoed an SR20DE with new Bosch +4 plugs, and then with some old dirty stock NGK plugs.
The Bosch +4 plugs cost 4 hp at the wheels.
Minus 4s! :)

Funny how all the Americans just accepted that. What does THAT mean? ;)
