alright.. so i got a 92 CX motor in my 4g4d,88, and i kept the DPFI on it.... everything seems to be alright but the clutch is going fast....

today i started it, and it shuts off right away... it goes to about 1000 rpm then shuts off...... BUT when i hold the key to ON it stays started........ i dont THINK its throwing any codes... it was just giving me a constant flash.... 1 ..... 1...... 1 ...... 1...... etc....

so im lost.... ANY help would be greatly appreciated..

Ok, first what prompted you to put an 8 valve engine that doesn't even get 100hp in there?

And if it is flashing 1, that IS the code.

i doubt its throwing codes.. and that oxygen one is prob. cuz of the swap, says the guy who did the swap..

A 92 CX engine is a D15B8, or an 8 valve 70hp engine.

Look at this if you don't believe me:
http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/specs.htm

If it is a 92-95 engine, with a sohc, and 16 valves, it's either a DX/LX or a VX (if it has vtec).

That's creepy that yours has 16. Mine was made in canada, but it's original engine had 8.....

yea its 16 tho...... the dizzy had to be notched or something?? and stuff, for it to work.... the DPFI manifold was left on.
so basically a block/head/tranny/clutch swap.... or like i was saying before.. replacement
