A vortex generator breaks up the airflow to the wing , so it can do its job better.

From what I have read on various lancer and racing forums the VG creates 35% more downforce WHEN ACCOMPANIED WITH A SPOILER/WING. It a;so allows the spoiler/wing work more effecintly by swirling the air or some shit I read. You can't miss it every forum is talking about it. Many have the link to the mitsu engineers testing results. It only causes 1.1% drag. They tested it at 180kilometers/hour which converts to roughly 112mph. I plan on putting one on my fiero after i do many other upgrades first by then it should be way cheaper. I don't car about carbon fiber it cost too much, ABS is more like it. So if somebody realeases it in ABS I'll get it right away. It does have FUNCTION.
