Civic Racing Mods

Well I might get a civic and I want it to be uno FAST little shit in the 1/4 mile drag. Suggestions on model year civic, and parts are welcome, I'm getting a body kit for it and nothing's gonna change my mind bout that. Same with wide wheels. LMK peeps

well first off, unless you are already planning on doing an engine swap, DON'T GET A CIVIC. You are NOT going to make a Civic reasonably fast without some MAJOR engine revamps (turbo,internal engine work,etc...)...or a B-Series engine swap. A Civic SI will give you a decent engine to work with, but any other series will leave you with alot of work to do. So if you're serious about racing...and you're dead-set on a civic, leave about 3g in the bank account to do some work under the hood. You can find some good deals on swap-worthy engines...so first off, think about how much $$ are you willing to spend. I'm not dissing, i drive a 00 civic ex, and it's painfully slow. Just keep in mind that a virgin Civic is grocery carrying passenger car, not a drag car. Therefore you're going to have to do some work to bring out the inner-beast in this machine. I've been bitten by the racing bug myself...so I'm currently shopping for an engine swap for my civic.

I'd definitely switch the engine out, the older engine cant take the good stuff :p

Or maybe a 5th gen (92-95) hatchback with a B18C

Oh, by the way, what times were you expecting to run?

Also, Will this be your daily driver?

It'll be my daily driver, and from what I have heard I'd keep it in the "stock" category in drags.
