hey, i currently got a 94 civic sedan vti sohc auto.

here are my choices, a 4th gen prelude si auto. 5th gen prelude vtir (vtec) semi auto. it has to be auto only. and the thing i want to know, which one better. im going more to the 5th gen lude cause the hp is 200hp stock auto. the only hp u can get in 4th gen in auto is 160. but i heard that the 5th gen is much heavier. i wont be drag racing and goin on the track with teh lude. i dont do that. maybe a few drags. but not serious ones. and when u do drive it normally, how does it compare to the 4th gen si.

thanks

Sportshift Preludes make 190hp or 195hp. In both 4th and 5th gens you can modify the suspension to have greater lateral acceleration. The 5th gen will obviously cost alot more, but has greater torque and horsepower. It helps during those brief straight runs.

My 93 Si ran fine in two Autocross tourneys. More horsepower would've definitely helped, but added horsepower is typically more difficult to control if you are a novice. The plus side is that you still get to go into the stock class with a fairly high hp car.
