Mille or new I4?

So basically, I've been thinking of getting a Millie Factory or a new liter bike. $22k with leathers and exhaust. I figured high, because I don't know what kind of deals I can pull. Anyway I'm looking for oppions and impressions. I love riding the twisties, I only need a bit more power.

Here my options:
1)04 Aprillia Mille Factory
2)04 R1 with a ton of mods (I've seen way to many riding a round town)
3)03 Gixxer 1K (same story a the R1)

I want something different but still fickable. So what do you think?

The R1 and the Gixxer 1 are both going to be heavier and slightly less "nimble" in the twisties just by the nature of their size and power. A lot of my riding crew lately has been keeping to the 6's for that reason.

Personally, I LOVE the Aprilia Mille. If I had all the money in the world, I'd buy one in a heartbeat. Only problem is that they are NOT cheap, and since they aren't plentiful, parts are a bitch to get ahold of, even though there is a shop that is within easy driving distance for me.

Beyond that, it will fall, like you said, down to the I4 vs. the V

Get a ZX10R... Its the lightest and smallest bike out of all the Thou RRs, and its just insane. I personally couldnt spend that much money on a Mille, but thats just me.

Yeah the Mille would be a bitch to keep up. Parts are very tough to get at and PRICEY at that. Just get a Jap bike and mod it like no other bike youve seen. Wow I would love a Mille though but I couldnt afford the bike or the maintenance.

Tangie, you're right with me. Part of my problem is that I've never ridden a 1000cc Twin. I have ridden an 01 GSXR and while the power was amazing It felt tiring to ride.

Racing Rice, I look at the ZX10s but when I sat on one it was very uncomfortable.

EGcivicSi, The cost comparison is something I've taken into account, I'm planning on spending $22K for the bike and leathers in any case.

I'll give a litte rundown.
Full Astars Leathers, boots & gloves. approx $2500

Aprillia Factory $18,000+ $1600 akra exhaust.

R1 $11,000+9500 mods (Ohlins forks/shock, Carbon bodywork/tank, Exhaust, etc.)

Used GSXR 1000 $7500+$10,000 mods (same stuff as R1)

So really maintenance is the only cost difference and for me not really an issue. Meaning that owning an Aprillia is worth the little extra maintanace costs.

I can respect that.. I couldnt find any RRs that I was comfortable on.. So I bought a Z1000. :naughty:
