I'm waiting for my Evo VII to fully dry so I can polish it out, till then I decided to do a chop top on this silvia (like the DRFT one) I had to cut the roof into 6 pieces, this is the first time I have done this and wouldnt do it again, I was jst wondering if I can get some feedback on how it looks. Thanks

Copped top = cool. You gotta do some wild motor work to back it up, though.

i didn't know the DRFT silvia had a chop top? do you have a pic? thanks - justin

Yep...the blue DRFT S15 has a chop-top. Apparently, it's a pain to actually see out of the windshield mostly because of the roll-cage but cool nonetheless.

This is the car for those who do not no what it looks like.
Also I was thinkin either Lambo doors or Skyline motor, Can I get some feedback for this idea? I should be done with the roof today, hopefully exam finals should'nt get in the way.

Heres an update, the roof is about 70% done I need to scribe in the panel lines. I was wondering if anybody knows what to use to do this. Also more putty needs to be on top, that should be done today or tommorrow. Feedback PLEASE.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by "scribe in the panel lines"... unless you mean making the window rubber?
Well, I'll give you feedback at any rate. By the looks of it, you're doing a GREAT job. I don't think I wouldn't been able to make myself chop up the top, I would've been too afraid.
I can't wait to see more pictures with some ore putty work. It's gonna be awesome.

I mean the window trim, like I have to detail the the trim because when I added styrene it made a space from the original. I dont know if this makes any sense but any help will be appreiciated.

I know what you're saying...... What I would do, is get putty and a needle file and do my best to make the missing pieces of trim myself. Nothing fancy, but it would probably work.

This is what I like to see. Outside the box thinking. Not every body modification you make has to be a bumper or side sill.
Keep up the good work.

I really like the way it is coming out. The chopped top makes it look mad aggressive, and it provides that extra bit that the rather pedestrianly proportioned Silvia has been wanting. Good luck, I want to see this finished!
And is anyone else compelled to pronounce it "Durft?"

No I was thinking about painting it Gold, and build the Top Secret Kit or use the Garage Mak front bumper.

More progress done on the silvia, Got the doors cut out and i dont have pics of it but instead of using the stock door panels for the silvia im gonna use skyline panels from a tamiya kit. I like the skyline panels more because they have more detail rather than the crappy fujimi one.
Comments welcome and Thanks for looking.

I mated the skyline panels to the silvia. Man the stock silvia panels suck, fujimi is a real winner when it comes to detail. I only have thye right side and my camera sucks when it comes to close ups.
Heres the right side.
