ok i kno this has been put up here before and i remember seeing it a while ago but i can't find it..anyways idk what happened but all of a sudden when i take turns slowly..ie.. parking in my driveway i hear this clicking noise coming from my axles i guess idk what it's coming from but it only happens when i'm going slow..i'm thinkin it might've been from some off road driving...not rally style but a dirt road i had to drive on to get to my friend's house...going no more than 25 mph on it but i'm not sure what's up w/ it.. i tried putting power steering fluid since i haven't put any in for a while but that didn't seem to do it..

My mom once had this problem in her camry, it was a torn CV boot.
Check to see if yours are still in good condition.

I learned the hard way once from that, let it go on and on and then one day when I was turning the axle locked up and stripped the gearing in my tranny. :nono:

yes its your cv axle, to be more specific its your cv joint. u can buy rebuilt axles for around 75 dollars if u give them your core (old axles once its been replaced). there is a recent thread on this topic and how to replace them. be warn though u do have to know the basics on the mechanics of the car, you also need some tools to help you get it done right and faster. if your are going to do it your self, just in case buy an oil seal which stops the tranmission fluid from leaking out on the right side. sometimes the seals can be very old or had been broken during the axles removal. if the old seal is still good u can always send it back and get your refund.

my previous car had that problem, then my integra I put new/remanufactured axles in, my uncle car needed new cv boots, my sister previous civic had torn boots...
I would say this would be one of my pet peeves, not to mention leaks...

Yea, that CV grease isn't fun...on the bright side, rims are like an idiot light for our CV Boot....if you see grease and don't hear clicking yet, change the boot ASAP, cuz chances are the Joint isn't bad yet and you can jut replace the boot. If you let it go till clicking develops though, it's time for new axel.

That's the same way I discovered mine too, lol...saved me from having to get a whole new axel though, so it saved a bunch of money.

i think i broke the joint guys cause i didn't really see any tears in the boots or any grease but then again i wasn't looking that hard cause i gettin eaten up my mosquitos but it's already clicking...sigh...what a pain lol...so i guess my only choice is to get a new axle...would i have to get new joints or would that come w/ the axle cause my dad said somethin like i'd have to replace the joints or w/e but didn't say anything about the axle..and about how long do i have til my wheel falls off cause i live too far for buses to come get me for school :)
