I checked the forum and don't think anyone asked this question yet. But i was wondering if anyone has or been in a car that has the Tein flex, and was wondering if it was worth getting. :screwy:

I heard they were great, but I'm getting D2 coilovers. Cheaper and just as good

Dont have em, But the only bad thing ive ever heard about em is that the spring rates are too low for serious track use other than that everyone has great things to say about them. They're also double height adjustable so you dont have to sacrifice stroke pretty much no matter how low you go. ive heard good things about JICs too but have also heard that their customer service is shit.
Coilovers are pretty much the one area of the car where i think you get what you pay for, hey - id have MOTONs or Super Functions if i were rich (cough *never*cough)

i have the Tein Flex system with the edfc, it's great, not 1 thing i could say against it! when i ordered it i was honestly very hessitant but i've had it for about 8 months and it's very much worth every penny i spent.

About how much do the said D2's sell for? As soon as I get this insurance claim settled, I plan on working on the suspention a bit.

i got the flex's also without the edfc though. Right now im sittin pretty low but can go alot lower if my drive way wasnt like mount everest. But they ride awesome. as far as edfc u dont really need that, u can always do it manualy. But edfc is definently an easier way. Ride isnt bad...u definently feel every bump and divot in the road but its not uncomfortable.

I got my D2's real cheap from a group buy for $720 with pillowmounts. It is over now though, and they go for at least $1000, they are going to open in the US market soon

yeah they are quite expensive, i got them at cost along with the EDFC. i've got a great suspension setup, i've spent close to $4500 with the brake setup also, it's worth it though you need a good setup with a drift car. i'm only sittin like 2inches lower than stock, i only change my ride height when i'm in the canyons or out drifting because it's a pain in the ass, but i move on Enkei RPM2s 17X7.5 front and 17X9 rear, great suspension, brake and lightweight wheels are the best way to sliiiiiiiddddeee!

downshiftin are you talking about my car??? If so thanks, and yes I plan to build it a lot this summer. Just got my car about 7 months ago and waiting until I work again. When I get my D2 coilovers put in + new rims and wash it, it's goin to look 10 times better when I take the updated pix.
