your motor is a 5.0 EFI stock and is 155 hp. the mustang is a 5.0 HO efi @ 225hp. the motors are different but i dont now what, i heard the timing is even diferent. but i also heard you can use mustang heads, intake, headers, gears, and shift kit. but you cant do the cam and ditributer because of the timing.you can get rid of the motor and computer it all mounts up to tranny and motor mounts, same block

am i right about the timeing of motor that is different i heard the cam and distrib are not interchangeable but the rest is.And i heard the trannys are the same just turbo coupe have a real short and low 1st gear.and the gears in rear all depend on what was ordered other than turbos w/ came w/ 3.55 or 3.73s. if your lucky you got a 8.8 rear at least because iheard theres a smaller one.im not an expert im trying to learn thes cars i have a 88'T-bird its my 4th tbird in my life i love thes cars i just wish ford motors wasn't so complicated. i like toput a chevy motor init ther easy

i have been around for all my life and the only ford engines that i like are the 70's 360 and 390
yes they had the problem with the firdt cylinder getting warp from the thin wall between it and the water gally but they were as easy as the chevy 350
i havent ever had a prob. with changing out the distributor or cams
they think that they just say that because the cam has higher lift
the tranny themself maybe the same but the comp shift points a diff.
ford isnt really that bad
my friend and i took a 351 put port and polished 302 heads shaved the crank
cam
intake
high volume oil pump
flat pistons
polish connecting rod
offset the timming by 2 degrees on the chain
this engine had over 400 ft pd of torgue and 366 on power we put this in his 91 for mustang
