power window problems

I have a 1986 c-10 suburban with power windows. I installed an alarm in it and my windows stopped working. the truck worked fine except the windows. I pulled the alarm out and still have the same problem. I have five windows including the one in the tail gate. the thing of it is I can still use the key and roll it down from out side but the interior switch will not roll it down. when I use the inside window switches no matter which one the choke light lights up but the windows do not roll down. Not only that when I turn on my heat or headlights the light lights up. Also my rear air conditioner is out adn when I flip the switch the choke light lights up. If i'm running my heat and hit the window switch my heat turns of the same if I try to use the rear air conditioner but when I turn on my lights it stays on. I checked and even changed the 30amp circuit breaker. I also put a fuse it it's place to see if it would blow. If it blew then I would know if something is tripping the breaker but it didn't so i but the new circuit breaker in. the only place I was working was under and around the steering column. I didn't cut any wires, the alarm came with a wiring harness. heres all the information I have, so basically I am asking were to start looking for the problem or Whats the easiest way to rewire the windows. I've done alittle electrical work before so it should not be over my head

I don't think you disconnected anything by accident b/c it appears power is going to the wrong place when you push a switch, i.e., the choke light comes on when you push a window button. You don't say how the alarm was installed. You must have put a harness or installed new wiring somewhere. It sounds like the harness has misrouted or crossed over some wires. If you have the wiring schematic for your truck I would start there and see how the windows pwr can get to the choke light. You might double check to see that you have the right alarm kit for this vehicle. Does the alarm co have a web site or tech support phone no.?

I 2nd on the install of the alarm. Sounds like you have something crossed and it is either searching for a ground or feeding power where it shouldn't. I install these for a living and have absolutely any idea what could be wrong. You'll just have to trace back on each wire.
