lowering your 87 civic (the old fashioned way)

my question is how do you do it? i mean come on!! theres struts in the front!! i can only lower it from the front ..thats why i dont do it... please some one tell me were those bolts under the control arms are.. ive read a similar post but his question wasint answerd..plese some one... help..

dont worry the car looks nice and even...hey iceecellica ... your car automatic or"good ol stick shift!" My friend has the rare celica "all track" and i kicked his ass.. his car has alot of tricks..(the guy has alot of $$$$ to burn) even with his big ass turbine (the thing sounds like a jet)i mannged to pull off 2 limos....ok 1 limo off his ass and i didnt have to use up my nos...(because it was empty and i think that it will never be filled cause its TO DAMN EXPENSIVE TO FILL)but still it was a fun race... When is your prom... why not go in your car... i saved 300$ and went in my car...why not do the same and use that $$$$ on your car? oz353... why dont you look for someone that makes coustom headders for you ? it sure is alot cheeper and does the same effect...

I didnt think nos was very expensive, somone told me it was like 40 bucks to refill.... and you beat a all track?... in a civic? wat you got in there?!?! mines a 5 speed... prom was sat. was tight... and i only have my permit and my parents wouldnt let me drive...:(

i have(or had) a hybrid. i t was a integra LS bottom block and a del sol DOCH vtec... i never took it to the track so i dont know the et it would make..Oh yeah i forgot!!! the motor had cam gears(bought them for like 20$!!),v-tech controler(50$)the nitrous works system 100hp shot (150$ from a beat up stang..)blah, blah, blah, blah...the last race it saw was with a STI.Oh it was an awsome race.. we raced 2 times.. the first ...he ran me with the A/C on..... i pulled off 1 car from him (bareiy used any nos... only in 4th gear...but in the 2nd race...he took me serious and so did i...i put the v-tech controler to activate at 2500rpm and used the nos from the start.. the clash between us was great but... he barely past me by 1/2 a fender...i ran out of nos when i went to 4th gear....then ... after that race... my car started to make a grinding noise..... and the sti.......didint turn on... when it did ... the transmission made 4 loud kinks... and threw out a white smoke....he got towed to his home...(later i found out that he was 17 and the car was his dad's....WHAT A TRIP!!!!he still is grounded......and that happended7 months ago..)my car made it home(making a funny pop corn maker noise...)3 days later going to university...it just turned off ...i got towed back and opend up the motor..."hey...were's the first piston???"
R.I.P............ it died.... lucky me i saved up the old motor....1.5 lt soch 2bble barrel webber carb(witch i got for like100$)...i plan on doing the motor a(hybrid) better,faster,stronger!!! millon $$$$ man style.....i got the pistons...(wiseco).crower rods...(450$+500$)

My story?... ha... well, dont have much of a story, but ill let you know why im almost 17 and dont have my lisence... I was about to take drivers ed last year when a vw bug drove by... so i decided to get in my moms 71 fully restored candy apple red conv. super beetle w/ ferrari exaust, and go for a little ride to try to race him... i was cruisin down a dirt road a little too fast and lost control of the car when i rear tire blew out, i swerved for about 2 blocks and then hit a culvert and flew through the air head on into a telephone pole... needles to say... im lucky to be alive... first because i didnt have a seatbelt on, and the top was down... second... my mom loved that car, she kicked me outa tha house for a few weeks... but now its all good, i paid all my fines and got her totaled bug sold to some wierd guy, bought it for 1000 bucks... but shes cooled down about it and let me take drivers ed again and i just got my permit... thats pretty much my story.. :)

Thats preety bad man ! I remember my big brothers first car.... It was an 1989 toyota sexy tercel.... it was black... It had a webber,exaust tail pipe.... It didnt look bad.....he first crashed it (passenger side front) against a malibu...1970 somthing...his car only bent the chasis a little bit but the poor malibu.... I dont know why but the damn thing just dissapeared.......after 4 months ...he fixed it ... and 1 month later...he decided to go to the mall..(with me 5 days recently crashing my 95 faded redish pinkish eclipse with a telephone pole witch i can recall racing a celica and tail gateing himfor like 3 minutes....my eclipse sucked so good riddence!!! the damn thing had air bags on and they never deployed....)well.. after a minor rain storm we left the mall and looky looky a STUPID PICK UP wants to race!!! (it was an isusu hombre....)The guy serioulsy dosent know how to drive standard...(grinding on every gear..)well to shorten the story...my bro won the race,lost the car...and almost lost his little bro...he crashed going strait on a curve and cashed a wall..(His universitys wall!!!)the impact (at 80mph) took most its toll (better yet all!!) to the passengers side....oh boy.....

i could see the motor and all i could say was "hey! i can tune the carb from here!!!" i pulled him out of the car and then i collapsed to the floor...felt kind of dizzy...turened out that my ribs collapsed....and who knows what else ...all i can say is that from time to time..i feel a tremendous pain... even when im racing and trust me....it really sucks.....Im what you can call...The ultimate racer... I allways get the maximum potencial of any car..... well 7 months after the crash My brother bought a 96 240 sx and thats that!!!

my first crash was in my moms jetta on the way to school, bad thing was she was with me. i hit a curb with the steering wheel cranked all the way, the brakes fully engaged, in fourth gear with the clutch pushed in, and i was going 50 down a hill. luckly all that happened was the fl wheel got scratched alittle. but the car bounced so it was facing the other curb on the passengers side. i learned my lesson. it scared the fuck outa me. my mom was all cool though.

My first crash was in the same vw beetle... it didnt have breaks and i peeled out in the driveway and couldnt stop so i manuvered around trees in my front yard and slamed into one at about 35, stupid car...
