This is stress release, so I am releasing stress...
So I went to a party Saturday night and had a great time. At around 2:45 the guy hosting the party threw everyone out. D'oh! No biggie, gotta leave sometime... There was one problem, I was plowed. I was like "uhhh I'm really drunk do I have to go?" and the owner told me to leave. Great... So I said my goodbyes to my "friends". They knew I was drunk. They knew I drove myself there. So I stumbled out the door and walked to my car. That's when I made possibly the stupidest decision in my life: I started the car. :disappoin Yup. I drove home. Drunk. Plowed. Smashed. Blitzed. I don't know why the fuck I did it. I could have been pulled over/arrested. Lost my car. Gotten into an accident. Killed someone. Somehow I fucking made it home. I don't even remember the route I took. When I got home I sat down and wished I just fucking died. I've been hating myself since. I'm also dissapointed that my so called friends didn't try to stop me. Ultimately it's my stupid decision. I'm not looking for sympathy; just telling the story. Right now I'm just wishing I never existed... :banghead:

You're right to be upset at yourself. Baaaaaaad.
In my world your car would be shot with an RPG-7.
As this isn't the case. Learn from it.

I've done that before, won't do it again though....for the same reason as you.
Learn from your mistake, be glad nothing went wrong, and move on knowing you won't do it again.

My thoughts are summed up nicely by what's already been said.
This is one of those mistakes that people make and should only make once. A. because they feel the way you do afterwords or B. They aren't as fortunate. Good to know you made it home safely.

Ok, well, I can see why you did it, I mean, when you're blind drunk, you have no control over what you do, and when you do it, you don't know why you are doing it.
When I go drinking, I NEVER drive my self there, and if I drive, I NEVER drink.

I'd say it's pretty safe to forgive yourself, you realize what you did was dumb, and now you can learn from that, and I'm not worried that you're going to be a repeat offender. :)

:iagree: that's the rule to live by if you want to go out...or try to get a taxi home and pick up your ride in the mornin....if it's close enough...lady luck was on your side that night....just make sure that you never do it again man

If all else fails, and you can't call friends, family, ect.Sleep in your car.I always carry something warm, blanket, heavy jacket, ect. If you do,throw your keys in the backseat. The cops won't arrest you for sleeping in your car. But, my friend got arrested after he woke up after about 2 hours and decided to drive.A sheriff was parked in the same parking lot waiting for him.So make sure you are good to go.

Wow...if you're this depressed after making it home alive... :eek7:
One would think you'd be happy you didn't kill someone or lose your car. If that is the worst mistake you ever make in your life youll be one lucky sonofabitch.

Glad to hear you got home safe. They must be damn lousy friends if they didnt offer you a ride home or anything.
One of the guys at work got DIC'd a month ago, when he crashed his car and the cop that got there breath tested him and he was a tad over the limit. Now $900 and 1 court appearance later hes catching the bus for the next 6 months.
Easier to catch the bus/ride with someone else once, than to have to do it for 6 months

Normally I drive to events and get buzzed. But I ALWAYS sober up for 2 hours drinking cup after cup of water. This time I got DRUNK and got thrown out early. Bleh. I'm still thinking of all that could have gone wrong....
