My girlfriend has a 1997 STi, and recently decided to sell, so to attract a little more attention we took the plumback blow off valve off, and chucked on a bigboy which has awesome sound, BUT...
she started playing up; when the revs get to above 4500 the boost starts fluctuating, its almost like a petrol surge but not so 'jerky'. It's driving me crazy and we don't even know if it should be driven, so she's parked up in the garage unable to be driven or sold.
I checked all round everything i touched and found a vaccuum hose i had left off and thought that would have been all that it was,.... but no she's still doing it, even after replacing the stock plumback.
There's no other nasty noises, and i doubt the turbo's blown, so any ideas???? please help.
