I was talking to a friend of mine(he is a ford guy) and he said he had found a grant to restore his 1970 ford torino but his car did not qualify it was too complete...i have a 1970 chevelle ss ls-6 and it needs major work and i pretty sure it would qualify but my friend is away at college and i dont know where he had found that info, any help would be greatly appreciated

I think your friend was a few sandwiches shy of a picnic. Grants are complicated and lengthy to say the least. They have to meet certain criteria and take a long time to be approved. I seriously doubt that anyone has ever written much less had approved any grant to restore a car.

besides for a museum piece; but even then.....the government sure as heck is not going to pay you to restore your car. especially that car, not with the emissions battle....

Certainly the government has grants available to restore Fords. Just dial 1-800-dial-a-prayer and tell them what you want. :rofl: :rofl:

i get a grant every year towards my car.

They call it a tax return, but I know what they really want me to do with the $$.
