is this rumor true?

ive heard a couple people say that if you let your corner lights or taillights soak in bleach it will take the color out of it to make them clear is this true?

i take it nobody has tryed this yet, well im gonna give it a shot on my side marker lights i doubt it will work but why not try

lol...hell...if you got a neon its nuthin..those parts are in the junk yard all day.

Dont even trip..im not talkin bad about you either..I once had a 95 neon..i loved it...i hated it..

yea i love my little neon lol its pretty quick too ive raced people i would never have thought i could beat and acually won lol and parts are easy to find and its easy to work on and there cheap to fix and hooking them is pretty cheap too what more could you want?

I thought my neon was a piss poor performer till I started droppin the clutch a couple times, even though it was the sohc engine....the five speed made it feel pretty quick if you kept the rpm's up....all this only happened when the car was runnin right.

Imma tell you what they told me if you didnt already know....watch the timing "belt"...it should be looked at often...changed every 60,000 miles......you'll save a lot of money

yea i got a couple little things that need to be replaced i need to get a new tps (throttle posistion sensor) even though it hasnt acted up lately and i do need to check my timing belt and i have to get a new bolt replaced on my passenger side hub but its all small stuff so not to bad

I have to ask, the pic you have on the side under your screen name, are those real lights on your neon? If they are how, where , what, ect so I can try it. I have a 02' SXT and I think that would be neat to do to it. I would like to know how the bleech thing worked also. I have been looking for clear side markers also.

the lights in my avatar arent real i did that with imageready however you can do it in real life they sell strobe lights for your headlights parking lights taillights... at pep boys and auto zone i have some in my parking lights all it is is a box to change the speed of the lights and run power and ground to it and run the little strobes to whereever you want them as for the bleach thing i havent gotten around to it yet lol i been lazy

wouldnt the bleach also make the plastic haze and become britel? put bleach in a water pistol when i was a kid and it crumbled apart hors later , needless to say white fingers and hands for a month lol

bleach will not turn plastic clear.
the color is all the way through the plastic, not just the outside
